Watch! Thuso Mbedu Drops The Woman King Trailer. The day that we have all been waiting for is finally approaching. Come the 16th of September, we will get to see The Woman King exclusively in movie theaters across the world.
For South Africans, this upcoming movie means a lot. It stars some of our stars who are making waves internationally. One of the leading actresses on The Woman King is the multi-award winning Thuso Mbedu. Earlier this year, it was announced that Thuso’s best friend, Makgosto M, was also on the film cast as one of King Ghezo’s wives. Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi and award winning actor Siv Ngesi are also in the movie.
The storyline of the film follows Nanisca, General of the all-female military unit, and Nawi, an ambitious recruit, who together fought enemies who threatened to destroy everything they’ve lived for. Thuso and American actress, Viola Davis, who plays lead on The Woman King have tantalized us with a trailer of the movie. It goes without saying that we are in for a very exciting offering.
