Levels! Mmabatho Montsho Celebrates Her Film Going International. If your work catches international attention quite often, then you know you are great at what you do. This is exactly the case with Mmabatho Montsho, whose talent as a film maker speaks for itself.
\In February 2020 her short film The Award Ceremony, won an international award. It bagged the Best Short Film award at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival held in Arizona, USA. The following year in 2021, other film Yoko Ya Hao, got selected for screening at the Africa Film Festival which were held in New York. There is nothing stopping the award winning film maker director and writer and actress, as another one of her films, goes international.
Desmond’s Not Here Anymore, has been selected to show at the Paris International Film Festival which is billed for the 10-20th February 2022. The film was written by award-winning screenwriter Lindiwe Suttle Müller-Westernhagen. Desmond’s Not Here Anymore, tells the story of Abigail, who battles moving her elderly mother with dementia out from the family home. When her mother unconsciously haunts her by continually questioning Desmond’s whereabouts it forces her to finally face the question.
