Mmabatho Montsho’s Film Goes International. Without a doubt, Mmabatho Montsho is making her presence felt in the film industry. In February 2020 her short film The Award Ceremony, won an international award. It bagged the Best Short Film award at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival held in Arizona, USA.

Mmabatho’s other film Yoko Ya Hao, was also nominated the Pan African Film Festival. Although it didn’t bag any award, Yoko Ya Hao, which stars award winning songstress Simphiwe Dana, made a great impact. The film has been selected for screening at the Africa Film Festival which will be held in New York.

Thank you for the official selection of our film @AfricanFilmFest we can’t go to New York, but our film #jokoyahao can. Screening online 4-16February with @FilmLinc #NYAFF2021,” Mmabatho announced.
