Lunathi Mampofu, who has been in the industry for years, has just signed with a leading agency. The award winning actress and style icon, is part of Rebelle Management South Africa family, an agency headquartered in NYC. Lunathi now joins a powerhouse roster that includes Thando Thabethe, Bohang Moeko, Rosemary Zimu, among many others.

Lunathi completed her BA in Live Performance at AFDA. She further refined her craft at the New York Film Academy, graduating from the One-Year Acting for Film Conservatory in 2013. While based in New York and Los Angeles, she worked behind the scenes as a casting assistant at The Gersh Agency. Lunathi also appeared in several independent productions including The Good Man, Shack Attack, Umthandazo, and Rising Light.
Lunathi made her television debut in Isikizi before delivering standout performances across telenovelas and global streaming platforms. Among those include playing Emma in The River and Benni in The Queen. One of her most recent roles is on Netflix’s Fatal Seduction, as Brenda, a vibrant woman navigating trauma with nuance. Currently, Lunathi stars in Inimba, as Zoleka Mabandla, a tech entrepreneur balancing ambition and motherhood. Her latest lead role is playing Bongi, in the new Mzansi Magic crime drama series “Levels”, which premieres on Sunday, September 7th, at 7:30 PM on Mzansi Magic.
Lunathi also starred in the festive comedy Disaster Holiday. This marked her first major comedic role, where she held her own alongside heavyweights like Kenneth Nkosi. Lunathi’s accolades include her nomination for a 2024 SAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Telenovela. This was for her standout role in 1802: Love Defies Time. In addition to her screen accolades, Lunathi was honored with Best Dressed and Most Stylish Personality at the 2024 Feather Awards, and received Best Supporting Actress and Most Popular Actress at the 2023 Royalty Soapie Awards, cementing her as an influential cultural force.
