Purpose of Job :

The position is part of a broader business operation, and it is responsible for providing a full HR administrative support function to the company as well as across the organization, including employee lifecycle management, recruitment and learning & development.

  1. • Relevant Degree with Human Resources as a major.

  2. • Minimum of 3 years experience in a HR Administration Generalist role, with exposure pertaining to the full employee lifecycle, as well as understanding practical adherence to the Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Skills Development Act and other relevant legislation.

  3. • Valid driver’s license.

  4. • Proven track record of sustained high performance is required.

  5. • Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and Keynote).

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment:

  1. • Manage the recruitment process in line with the company’s resourcing requirements, with a key focus on attaining exceptional talent.

  2. • Provide best practice input on staffing requirements.

  3. • Actively promote the company as an employer of choice to prospective candidates.

  4. • Review candidates against role profile, shortlist accordingly and provide suitable recommendations.

  5. • Complete screening and panel interviews, and arrange for assessments as required.

  6. • Ensure all relevant checks are completed and reviewed, and that all candidate documentation is received prior to an offer being processed.

  7. • Provide appropriate feedback to all stakeholders, including candidates.

  8. • Ensure all information is obtained to manage candidates’ expectations.

  9. • Facilitate Induction, orientation and on-boarding.

Health and Safety :

  1. • Manage the internal Occupational Health and Safety team at the company.

  2. • Ensure the OHS team has adequate representation and is trained and skilled to perform their roles effectively.

  3. • Ensure that all members of the OHS team conduct and submit monthly checks. Once received, review and discuss findings with the relevant stakeholders.

  4. • Together with the OHS team, ensure that agreed action points from monthly checks are actioned.

  5. • Ensure continuous OHS education to the team through various platforms such as posters and internal newsletter.

  6. • Ensure the OHS file is kept up to date.

 

HR:

  1. • Facilitate disciplinary and work performance sessions.

  2. • Review the matter and consult appropriately, to recommend a suitable way forward.

  3. • Prepare necessary documentation and liaise with the relevant stakeholders to proceed with the matter (internally &/or externally).

  4. • Ensure that all matters are finalized, closed and feedback provided.

  5. • Ensure that the HR representation on all IR matters are aligned with the disciplinary code/policy.

  6. • Provide assistance and representation at the CCMA when required.

Performance Management:

  1. • Manage the Performance Management process, ensuring performance plans are completed, check-in session are held, evaluations are completed and timelines are managed.

  2. • Provide guidance to the team on performance related matters.

  3. • Learning & Development.

  4. • Leave Administration.

Recognition Program:

  1. • Review and provide input into our Recognition Programs.

  2. • Facilitate the Recognition Programs processes, including the nomination and awards process.

Ad hoc Duties:

  1. • Facilitate Wellness events/webinars/programs.

Payroll :

  1. • Payroll processing.

  2. • Payroll Gross-to-Nett Processing.

  3. • Post Payroll Processing.
  4. • Taxation and End-year activities.

  5. • Regulatory and Legislative Compliance knowledge.

Skills Development Facilitator –

  1. Consideration will be granted to candidates in possession of SDF Accreditation.
