Thuso Mbedu Battles It Out With The Likes Of Elizabeth Olsen, Kate Winslet And Zendaya For A Major Award. Thuso Mbedu has just bagged herself another international award nomination. A few weeks ago, our golden girl bagged herself a nomination at the upcoming Black Reel Awards. Mbedu is on the Outstanding TV Movie/Limited Series, Actor & Actress category, which boasts Hollywood giants such as Chris Rock, Tessa Thompson, Dule Hill and Cynthia Erivo.

The nomination is for Mbedu’s lead role Cora in The Underground Railroad Amazon series. Cora is a young woman who makes an amazing discovery during her attempt to break free from slavery in the deep south. This series has definitely earned her massive respect on the international scene. Mbedu is also among the predictions for the Lead Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie Emmy award.

Hollywood Critics Association has also blessed the SAFTA winning actress with a nomination. Mbedu is contesting for the Best Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Television Movie award. She is up against Hollywood giants Elizabeth Olsen, Kate Winslet Anya Taylor-Joy, Cynthia Erivo, Michaela Coel and Zendaya.
