The Risk Claims Administrator will play an important role in ensuring that claims are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with required compliance standards. The position involves working with claim forms, member records, banking information, supporting documentation and system records on the Everest system. You will also communicate with internal departments, employers, service providers and clients to resolve outstanding queries and ensure that cases progress within the required timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end quality assurance checks on claims using the Fund’s approved Quality Assurance checklist.
- Verify that claim forms and supporting documentation are complete and accurate.
- Ensure claim documentation is correctly completed, signed and compliant with Fund requirements.
- Compare claim information against system records on the Everest system.
- Identify missing information, discrepancies and potential errors.
- Escalate claim issues to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
- Confirm that all mandatory supporting documentation has been received and meets requirements.
- Conduct due diligence checks on member information.
- Verify member ID numbers, names, dates of birth, tax numbers, banking details and employer information.
- Identify outstanding loans or indebtedness in accordance with applicable legislation, including Section 37D and Section 19(5)(a).
- Perform member and beneficiary bank account verification after workflow loading.
- Check the Unclaimed Benefit Fund register for possible matches.
- Maintain accurate and complete member records on the Everest system.
- Attach all relevant correspondence to member and deceased member files.
- Capture accurate case notes and system updates.
- Respond to internal and external email queries efficiently and professionally.
- Handle telephone queries and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
- Liaise with Client Services, the Contact Centre, Compliance, employers and service providers to resolve claims-related queries.
- Provide ongoing feedback until queries have been fully resolved.
- Attend to escalated queries within 24 to 48 hours.
- Support Contact Centre employees and Claims Administrators with information and documentation requests.
- Meet the daily production target of 30 cases.
- Maintain an error rate below 1%.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, productivity and compliance while working under pressure.
- Take accountability for allocated cases and complete them within agreed timelines.
