Gail Mabalane Sends Her Onscreen Daughter Ama Qamata a Sweet Birthday Shout Out. Their chemistry without as doubt goes beyond the set. Gail Mabalane and Ama Qamata play mother and daughter on Netflix’s second African Original series, Blood & Water.
Mabalane stars as Thandeka Khumalo, the mother of troubled teen, Puleng (Qamata), who investigates the cold case of her older sister who was abducted at birth. We are looking forward to season II of the series which is due to premiere on the 24th of September 2021. As the series comes with a hotter storyline and new faces, fans will happy to know that Mabalane and Qamata are among the original cast members going on for season II.
Today, Qamata is celebrating her birthday, and industry peers tool to social media to celebrate her. Among them is Pearl Thusi, who hailed the upcoming star for her beauty, her brains and her heart! She also regards Qamata as her little sister, how sweet.
