Umgeni Water: Chemistry Graduate Traineeship Opportunities

Umgeni Water invites applications from recently qualified Chemistry postgraduate students having a minimum qualification of a BSc. Honours degree, to undertake a work-integrated learning program within the Engineering & Scientific Services Division, Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

The program runs for a duration of two years, within which the successful candidate will be able to qualify in a specialized sphere, enabling exposure to diverse fields, including: Water Quality Management, Process Engineering, Research & Method Development, Method Validation and Optimization, etc.

  • Method Validation and Optimization, etc.

On completion, the successful candidate will gain exposure to the organizational culture, training, development and business processes by undertaking a structured Training Program with set objectives that will enable the development of the necessary competencies and skills required for registration as a scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNSP).
