Journalism Internship Opportunity Open At The Cape Argus

The Cape Argus in collaboration with Awqaf SA (a South African based

community endowment fund) has an exciting 12 month opportunity for two

Journalism / Media and Communications graduates looking for workplace

experience. Successful applicants will be required to work as part of the

Cape Argus news team for a year (12 months) and will be paid a stipend.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

· A relevant tertiary qualification, e.g. Journalism

· A strong interest in digital / social media platforms

· An interest in online, mobile and digital media

· Be computer literate

· Excellent communication skills

· Able to work under pressure in a high demanding environment

· Be innovative and creative

· A valid driver’s license

Required Competencies:

· Good organisational skills

· Self motivated

· Listening skills

· Proactive

· Have good analytical skills

· Work as part of a team

· Good interpersonal skills
