Lunga Shabalala Announces A Major Hosting Gig. When it’s your season, nothing can take away your grace. Lunga Shabalala is definitely living his best life career-wise with gig after gig. The man has been in the industry for years, but recently he is cementing his position as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
In a space of weeks, Lunga bagged two major acting gigs. He pays Tebogo in Love, Sex & 30 Candles, a Netflix movie. The movie is about four best friends in their 30’s navigating relationships, heartbreak and a shocking situation that threatens to tear them apart. Love, Sex & 30 Candles also stars Candice Modiselle, Amo Chidi, Gabisile Tshabalala, Bahumi Mhlongo and Loyiso MacDonald.
Just after that, he announced his lead role in another Netflix series. He has been cast as Sivu Levine in the hit young adult series called, Miseducation. The story follows Mbali Hadebe, played by Buntu Petse, who finds herself on the cancelled list after the police raids her house and seize her family’s assets. This is all because of her mother, Brenda Hadebe’s (Baby Cele) corrupt political dealings. Embarrassed and with her tail between her legs, Mbali runs to Grahamstown University in Makhanda, where she strives to reinvent herself and escape her mother’s corrupt legacy.
The talented actor, TV personality and model has just announced his latest gig. Lunga will be the red carpet host at the much anticipated Miss World South Africa. He is excited for the gig, and we can’t wait to see him do what he does best.
“So excited to be part of @missworldsouthafrica as your Red carpet host. All roads lead to the South African State Theatre on the 28th of October,” he announced.
