Junior Copywriter Wanted At Kaya FM (95.9). KAYA FM reflects the lives of the predominantly black, urban listener between the ages 25 – 49 living in Gauteng. The station broadcasts both music and talk. They are looking for a junior copywriter to join them.

Main Purpose

• To coordinate all functions of production for the station in terms of commercial, promotional, and internal audio elements from conceptualizing to producing in order and to ensure efficient running of the production department.
• To sporadically conceptualize, script, and produce copy that communicates the Kaya FM brand

Key performance Areas

• To communicate and liaise with sponsorship, promotions, sales, marketing and programming in order to coordinate production activities and get their specific promotions on air.
• To book studio time for recording of sponsorships /promotions according to standard operating procedures in order to ensure that smooth operation of promotions and sponsorships.
• To distribute briefs to copy writers on specific promotions/sponsorships for approval by clients according to standard operating procedures.
• To compile and distribute monthly reports on planned versus completed activities for all campaigns, promotions, sponsorships to conceptualize ideas, develop an implementation plan, follow up on each area of the plan and ensure the efficiency of internal production activities.
• To conceptualize, script, and produce adverts for external clients for the Kaya FM station according to policies and procedures

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Tertiary qualification in project management/administration/copy-writing
• Coordination/administration experience
• Proven interest/experience in copy-writing
