Beauty Assistant Position at Clicks Hilton Siding

Clicks Group is looking for a Beauty Assistant to join its Hilton Siding branch in the Midlands. The position is a permanent role in the Wholesale and Retail Trade industry, offering a market-related salary. This role is part of Clicks’ commitment to providing excellent service and expert advice in beauty and skincare.

Job Purpose
The Beauty Assistant will deliver exceptional customer service through expert product knowledge, personalized consultations, and efficient merchandising. The goal is to build customer loyalty, drive sales, and maintain high operational standards across the beauty department.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with customers and provide professional advice on beauty and skincare products.
• Drive sales through promotions, cross-selling, and up-selling to meet monthly targets.
• Monitor sales performance and suggest product improvements to boost turnover.
• Stay informed about new products, beauty trends, and promotions.
• Manage stock effectively and minimize shrinkage.
• Maintain excellent in-store presentation and merchandising standards.
• Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring friendly and professional customer interactions.
• Promote and register customers for the Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme.
• Increase brand loyalty by promoting private label and exclusive beauty products.
• Uphold Clicks’ values and contribute to its goal of being the preferred health and beauty retailer.

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential: Grade 12 qualification.
• Desirable: A certificate or diploma in beauty or skincare.
• Desirable: Experience in beauty, skincare, retail, FMCG, or sales and marketing environments.

Skills and Knowledge

• Solid understanding of selling principles.
• Knowledge of merchandising and promotions in a retail setting.
• Familiarity with stock control and customer service best practices.
• Product knowledge in beauty and skincare.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, engaging, and results-driven personality.

Contract Details
The position requires 27 to 40 working hours per week and forms part of Clicks’ Employment Equity (EE) initiatives.
