Former Bafana Bafana Star Siyabonga Nomvethe and Wife Clock 22 Years In Marriage. When many football stars are known as players on and off the field, there are those who are in committed relationships. One such is Siyabonga Nomvethe, who has been married to his wife for over 2 decades.
Nomvethe has always maintained a clean and private lifestyle. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mpanza, in a secret traditional ceremony at his home in Kwa Mashu, Durban in 2002. The two have been blessed with two kids, a boy and a girl. The Nomvethes recently celebrated a huge milestone of 22 years in marriage. Siyabonga took to Instagram with throwback pictures to mark the anniversary. The likes of Happy Jele, Shaun Bartlet and Ramahlwe Mphahlele are among those who congratulated the couple on the milestone.

The Bafana Bafana legend has always been set on living a meaningful life. Six years ago Nomvethe earned a Doctorate Degree in Sport, from the St Paul Bible Institute in Umlazi, KwaZulu Natal. He was recognized for his contribution to the game, serving as a role model to youngsters and being a top goal scorer. This saw him become one of the few esteemed local footballers to earn the âDoctorâ title. Nomvethe joined football greats like Jomo Sono and Irvin Khoza.
