Tyla Makes A Teen’s Ultimate Dream Come True By Coming to His Matric Dance

Tyla Makes A Teen’s Ultimate Dream Come True By Coming to His Matric Dance. They say ask, and it shall be given. Mollwane Mo Madiba campaigned for six months to get Tyla to be his Matric Dance date. Guess what, Tyla traveled all the way from the US and surprised him at his Matric dance.
Mollwane Madiba, who is the son of Princess Tirelo Molotlegi of the Royal Bafokeng Nation, went viral earlier this year with a heartfelt TikTok campaign. Hash-tagged “#MOANDTYLA4MD” the teen went hard asking Grammy-winning artist Tyla to be his date for his matric dance. Mo has been a fan of Tyla and, his friends jokingly asked him if he was taking her to the MD. They then decide in making a concept, a video where Mo gets to ask Tyla to be his date. This seemed like a far-fetched dream at the beginning, but as the hashtag gained momentum, there was hope.
The video gained momentum, getting the attention of many, including 5FM radio station. The station shared his journey, interviewed him on-air and rallied the country to support this young dreamer. The hashtag went viral, as listeners got involved. Tyla allegedly saw the video and was genuinely moved, but sadly said, she wouldn’t be able to attend. Still, Mo was chuffed, for getting the attention of a global star.
The bid day came, and Mo looked dapper in a suit inspired by Tyla’s Met Gala look. 5 FM was there, covering every glitzy second. Then, after speeches were done and everyone had settled in, Tyla’s brand-new song “Is it” suddenly filled the room. An announcement was made that Tyla was in the building, making everyone go all crazy. What a moment it was for Mo, and everyone who was present!
