In November 2025, the celebrated media icon, was announced the most awarded On Air Personality (OAP) in Africa. This is according to a post by Africa First X (Twitter) page. Going all the way to the top, Bonang is about to be recognized as the 2026 Trailblazer Award recipient by Basadi In Music Awards.

In April 2019, she was announced as one of the recipients of the E! Africa Ultimate Pop Culture Icon Award ahead of the TV channel’s 15-year anniversary celebrations. A month late Bonang won the coveted Award for Best Inspiration & Influence at the prestigious Global Social Awards held in Prague, Czech Republic. The following year, she won Favourite Personality of the Year at the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards. Some of her other accolades include the COSMO Influencer Award and GLAMOUR’s Most Glamourous Celebrity Icon award. In the 15th year of the Sunday Times Generation Next Awards. Bonang was awarded the Coolest Online Influencer. She also bagged the Women of The Year Award at the 2020 GQ Men of the Year awards.
