“Leave Woman’s Womb Alone,” Liesl Mthombeni On Pregnancy Speculations. A lot of women in the entertainment industry have to deal with assumptions from the pucblic, that they are pregnant. Among them include, Ntsiki Mazwai, Masasa Mbangeni, Thembisa Nxumalo, and the list goes on.
In the past couple of days, there has been speculations that another female personality, Liesl Mthombeni could be pregnant. This comes after pictures of her celebrating her husband’s recent graduation made rounds on social media. Liesl rocked a green Khosi Nkosi African attire, which was loose from the waist down. Many assumed that because if the dress design, Liesl could be hiding a baby bump.
The former Miss SA and TV personality, did not take kindly to the comments, and fetched those who assume she is expecting. Liesl addressed both men and women to leave her womb and those of other women alone. She also confirmed that she is not pregnant, and credited her weight gain to being a woman of a particular age, happy as well as monied.
Liesl is also not impressed by this culture of certain individuals always wanting to be the first to break other people’s news. She added that women should be allowed to share any news relating to pregnancy at their own time, in their own way.
Many celebrities including Bontle Modiselle, Ntando Duma and Zola Nombona supported her stance. Her husband Musa Mthombeni also commented, “Leave our womb alone !!!!! Pregnancy isn’t a group project.“
