Job Overview And Responsibilities

• Clean office spaces, meeting rooms and all designated areas within the Compensation Fund offices
• Remove waste and ensure proper disposal in approved bins
• Maintain cleanliness standards in line with workplace hygiene and safety requirements
• Support meeting arrangements by assisting with basic food service duties when required
• Ensure cleanliness of communal areas including corridors and shared facilities
• Follow instructions from supervisors regarding daily cleaning schedules
• Assist with general support tasks as required by the department
• Maintain a safe working environment by following Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
• Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to relevant supervisors
• Ensure equipment and cleaning materials are used correctly and safely
• Assist in keeping the workplace organised and presentable at all times
• Perform additional general tasks as assigned by management

Requirements And Skills

• ABET Level 4 or Grade 9 qualification (NQF Level 3 or 4)
• No prior work experience required
• Knowledge of basic public service procedures will be an advantage
• Understanding of Labour Legislation and Basic Conditions of Employment Act will be beneficial
• Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Basic cleaning and housekeeping skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
