Student Expo

The Student Expo is South Africa’s only exhibition that is designed to provide both current and prospective students with the necessary tools to succeed in professional tertiary education and beyond. “The Student Expo” has evolved to encompass a breadth of information to facilitate a successful, fulfilling and stress-free student experience. They target more than 1000 private & upmarket government schools (LSM 8-12) in the country + all the top University faculties’ students to further professionals in fields of legal, medical, engineering, commerce, culinary. Eskom Expo for Young Scientists

Eskom Expo for Young Scientists is an exposition, or science fair, where students have a chance to show others their projects about their own scientific investigations. At Expo, students can discuss their work with judges, teachers and students from other schools, with parents and with other interested people. By participating at expo students will increase their awareness of the wonders of science, add to their knowledge and broaden their scientific horizons. The mission is to develop young scientists who are able to identify a problem, analyse information, find solutions and communicate findings effectively.

FET Student Expo

The FET EXPO is the only place where you can mix, mingle and meet the best employers from across the country FET Colleges, SETA’s, Universities, Student Finance houses, find out about bursaries; Sponsored accommodation & transport. It’s your chance to have a face-to-face with employers & universities and discover new career opportunities and learn more about internship and co-op positions, all under one roof. Prospective students will be able to seek career advice, learn about CV skills and meet tertiary representatives and gather information on courses that are of interest to them and that will give them a further education.

School leavers will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of what FET colleges, university entail and what marks you need to get in and the facilities that will be available to them when they start studying including gaining insight into social and sporting clubs. School leavers will also be able to secure student loans, transport and accommodation as well as learn how to manage finances when living away from home. Graduates can explore careers opportunities locally, learn to develop their CV’s, interview skills, meet potential employers and find out more about graduate recruitment placements.

The National Tourism Careers Expo

The NTCE is directly aimed at high school and tertiary/FET learners (past and current) looking to enter or advance in the tourism industry. The NTCE is not exclusively targeted at the learners – the educators are just as important as you are the drivers behind the tourism industry. The Expo is open to all members of the public who are interested in tourism, whether you are currently in the industry or not. At the expo you can visit over 50 exhibition stands hosted by leading local and international companies, educational institutions and small businesses involved in tourism in South Africa. It’s your chance to mix with potential employers and find out about bursaries and learnerships and get a taste of the vibrant world of tourism.

Wits Health Sciences Research Day & Postgraduate Expo

Every other year, the Faculty of Health Sciences hosts a day of research. This biennial meeting of academic excellence will bring together researchers and students in the field of health sciences to present their papers and posters and engage in discussions covering a variety of relevant topics.

Maritime Industry Careers Expo

The SABC Education ‘MyTomorrow’ technical careers expo

The SABC Education ‘MyTomorrow’ technical careers expo targets grades 8 to 12 students and unemployed graduates. Learners will meet organisations offering information, in-house training and opportunities. These organisations have a common goal; to alleviate the technical skills shortage in South Africa. This event is a prime platform for learners and industry players to meet, network and exchange crucial information. Industry players include higher learning institutes, career guidance centres, financial institutions, entrepreneurial skills organisations, national youth development programmes, government departments and relevant SETAs. Educator seminars will be hosted daily during the Expo.

Ikamva Career Guidence Expo

The Ikamva Career Guidance Expo is an informative, comprehensive and interactive career guide for learners and youth seeking direction and employment, particularly young people living in and around rural areas. This project offers in-depth career guidance in all fields of studies, as well as how to access learnerships, scholarships and funding options across all the various business sectors and the public sector. Ikamva Guidance Expo is geared towards assisting learners and young people in our communities to achieve and realize their dreams and also contribute in a meaningful manner to the South African economy.
