Thuso Mbedu Shares Epic Behind the Scenes Moments of Her Highly Anticipated Film. Just a week ago, Thuso Mbedu shared the first look of Children of Blood and Bone, one of her latest project. With the likes of Viola Davis, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris, Cynthia Erivo and Tosin Cole, it goes without saying that film lovers are about to eat.
The multi award-winning Thuso has always wanted to be the lead in this story. This comes after she received the book that the film is adapted from as a gift back in 2019. She loved it so much that it became her prayer point. Now Thuso is here living her dream. In the film she assumes the lead role of Zelile. The story follows her character Zelile, and her older brother Tzain as they form an alliance with the king’s daughter, Princess Amari and son, Prince Inan to fight back against his brutal rule.=The studio has also dated the film for release on January 15, 2027 in Imax.
