Job description
An exciting opportunity exists to work for the leading optical and sunglass distributor in South Africa. We distribute world class famous name brands. This is an extremely exciting but challenging environment and requires a dynamic individual to take on this role.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries to call center or the person in question.
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
- Maintaining security by following procedures; monitoring logbook for dispatch parcels and the company cars.
- Maintaining the switch board, forwarding calls to the correct departments and taking messages.
- Maintaining a safe and clean reception area by following, rules, and regulations.
- Assisting management and staff with other admin work such as capturing of documents spreadsheets.
- Maintaining accounts filing records, making sure all credit notes/credit applications are in order and to date on a monthly basis
- Maintaining factory order spread sheets for international brands on a weekly basis, once orders arrive process and allocate them to the respective customers
- Regular communication with suppliers to follow up on other orders placed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
