One can think of the inaugural KwaZulu Natal Entertainment Awards, which were one of the biggest entertainment event in the country. The awards ceremony have been created to celebrate artist, movers and shakers from the province. They were held at the Durban ICC, on December 15, 2020. Pearl Thusi and Somizi were the host of the evening.
Recently the Provence hosted the 10th Annual Simon ‘Mabhunu’ Sabela KZN Film & Television Awards. The awards recognize outstanding achievement and excellence within the South African Film and Television industry. Among those who got honored were actors, producers, directors and various film and television technicians.
Another award ceremony has just been held to celebrate the massive talent in KZN. Fame Us Brands organized the Champions of KZN Awards, honoring creatives. Among those are Mbalenhle Mavimbela and Wiseman Mncube. The duo played husband and wife on the hit series, The Wife. Their on-screen chemistry and talent won them massive respect in the industry.
