Azania is a South African DJ, television presenter and MC. She is known for her work on Metro FM but she joined Power FM the previous year. Here are the top 10 things you don’t know about Azania

1) She is from Pimville, Soweto.

2) She studied at Wits University and completed a Bcom degree

3) She started her career in 1996, co-hosting a youth talk show called The Joint on CCV, the SABC’s now-defunct Contemporary Community Values channel.

4) She started out in television on The Joint and then went on to travel to London where she lived and worked for three years.

5) Upon her return from London, she presented the SABC1 variety music show Bassiq

6) She then joined Metro FM as a producer for Glen Lewis’’ show The Ride.

7) From working on The Ride she moved to presenting Midnight Oasis, putting her time in during the dark hours of the night.

8) In her spare time, she enjoys mosaic and recording in her studio at home.

9) Her personal favourite South African music stars are Tandiswa Mazwai and ex-101 group member Preston.

10) In 2011 she divorced her husband Tony Ndoro after they had been married for six years and returned to her maiden surname afterwards.
