Internship Opportunities at Newsclip Media Monitoring
Newsclip Media Monitoring seeks to employ preferably dynamic graduates and provide them with valuable experience within the media industry.
Responsibilities include:
Scanning – Summarise news bulletins, talk shows, programmes, interviews etc. into a readable synopses that contains key information.
Ensure accuracy of spelling, grammar and contextual content of synopses. Accurately type the synopsis into an in-house database.
Express Monitoring – Ensure the accurate and timeous completion of monitored media; communicate any changes that will impact on the functionality of the department and accurately scan the regional newspapers.
Language requirements:
Fluent in Afrikaans (Cape Town Candidates only)
Fluent in Zulu (Westville, Durban Candidates only)
Fluent in French and Portuguese (Johannesburg Candidates only)
The candidates should have reliable transport
Working hours: 14:00 – 22:00, Mon – Fri and two Sundays per month.
Requirements
Completed tertiary qualification in Media/Corporate Communications/Marketing
Fluent in Afrikaans (Cape Town Candidates only)
Fluent in Zulu (Westville, Durban Candidates only)
Fluent in French and Portuguese (Johannesburg Candidates only)
Strong comprehension of English as a written language
Computer literate
Minimum typing speed of 45wpm
Advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills
