Pharmacist Assistant Opportunity at Clicks QPB Africa City

Clicks Group is seeking two Pharmacist Assistants for its QPB Africa City branch in Johannesburg. This permanent role focuses on delivering safe, accurate, and high quality pharmaceutical care within the scope of practice. The position supports daily dispensary operations, stock control, and customer service in line with company Standard Operating Procedures. Job Overview and Responsibilities
• Provide high standards of customer service and pharmaceutical care within scope of practice
• Assist with dispensing and accurate preparation of prescriptions
• Perform compounding tasks according to pharmacy standards and regulations
• Support dispensary administration and daily operational processes
• Maintain accurate stock control including receiving, storage, and repacking of medicine
• Monitor and manage expiry dates and product rotation
• Provide general health advice to customers within allowed scope
• Ensure compliance with SAPC regulations and company SOPs
• Maintain cleanliness and proper merchandising of the dispensary and health aisles
• Assist with OTC product support and health related customer queries
• Support accurate record keeping and IT based pharmacy systems
• Assist with ad hoc pharmacy tasks as required by management
Requirements and Skills
• Grade 12 with Mathematics
• Must meet SAPC requirements for Pharmacist Assistant registration (Qualified, Post Basic or Learner Basic)
• Strong knowledge of OTC products and health aisle items
• Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing tasks
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic computer literacy including MS Office and pharmacy systems
• Strong numerical and calculation skills
• Integrity, professionalism, and compliance focused mindset
