Life In SA For Rapper OkMalumKoolKat Since His Arrest

Earlier this year, OkMalumKoolKat went to jail at the height of their popularity. In March South African rapper Simiso Zwane released a statement on Instagram after serving a month in an Australian prison. The 32-year-old had been jailed for sexually assaulting a fellow artist as she slept in her hotel room in Tasmania, after performing at Hobart’s Mofo Festival.

He had apparently entered her room through an external sliding door, which she had left open. She awoke to find him in her bed, kissing her neck and rubbing his hands over her private parts.

According to The Mercury (Hobart), where the story first broke, Okmalumkoolkat was arrested and charged on and was then jailed. He pleaded guilty to the charges. He was then sentenced to a month in jail despite his defense pushing for a fine so he could leave Tasmania on the day.

But what has been happening lately in his life since his arrest?  Besides doing music as ususal, Okmalumkoolkat is the latest celeb who has decided that it would be in his best interest to stay away from Instagram for a while, and with 200k followers, who can blame him?

The rapper let fans know of his plans on Tuesday in an Instagram post, saying, “Going offline again. Catch me on facebook x twitter for now.”
