When asked about the one thing that she learnt the most from her late father, she says she learnt love from her dad.

“When I grew up, my father told me that he loves me all the time. And thats why I grew up being a girl who doesnt care about guys, because if a guy told me he loves me it was nothing new. I am told at home. My dad was the apple of my eye, we were best friends. His friends still tell me that my father used to love me so much. So I learnt a lot from my dad.”

Nomzamo Mbatha first came to public attention as one of the three finalists in the 2012 MTV Base VJ Search and in 2013 she was cast in IsiBaya, a Mzansi Magic soap opera, where she portrayed a character of Thandeka Zungu.
