Sizwe Dhlomo Shares His Side of the Story Over Station Manager and Mpho Maboi Drama

Sizwe Dhlomo Shares His Side of the Story Over Station Manager and Mpho Maboi Drama. Over the weekend, news made rounds that Kaya FM‘s board of directors fired the station manager Sibongile Mtyali. This comes after she allegedly refused to fire sports presenter Mpho Maboi following her altercation with Kaya Drive presenter Sizwe Dhlomo.

This whole debacle saw the station trend on various social media platforms. Sizwe was also at the top of discussions as a lot of people dragged him for somehow getting Sibongile fired. Some people even went as far as saying, probably Unathi Nkayi was right when she complained about Sizwe a year ago.Their altercations led to Unathi losing her job at Kaya FM.

Now Sizwe finds himself in another conflict, which has unfortunately cost a colleague their work. As social media users weighed in on the matter, Sizwe stepped in to set the record straight. The media personality started off by sating that before Mpho was roped in, they had a great sports person in Sandile Van Heerden.

“Okay, let’s correct some inaccuracies… We had a great sports person in Sandile Van Heerden. Amazing guy who always pitched in with the rest of the team we had built to contribute to the rest of the show & station,” Sizwe said.

Sizwe then explained that Sandile was let go, and Mpho got the gig, a change he had no problem with at first. A week after joining the show, Mpho failed to honor what was expected of her, which is attending meetings held before the show started. He said this jeopardized the quality of the show as they had no sports trivia prepped on air.

He then spoke to Mpho about it, but there were no changes. Sizwe the approached her manager, and was shocked when she skipped her manager and called Sibongile instead. When he asked Sbo, why they removed a competent person from the job, Sizwe was told he will work with anyone given to him. After an engagement with the powers that be, Sbo lost her job.
