For one to stay relevant you need to constantly be booked for events, and be a face of a number of brands. Sometimes however entertainers are taken for granted because of the harsh realities of their industry.

Media personality Lerato Kganyago has made it clear that she doesn’t accept mediocre deals. This is because as an entertainer she knows her worth. “Brands are out here exploiting black women because they think we desperate and we don’t know our worth!!! she said. Through Twitter has let her fans know she made a hard business decision this morning. She did not accept a deal she found mediocre.

Lerato says brands exploit black women because they think they desperate and they don’t know their worth. “And I genuinely hope more and more black women in our industry will put their foot down and STOP accepting mediocre deals!!!” she said.
