Bonang Explains Why She Is No Longer Friends With Somizi

When it comes to any kind of relationship, disloyalty is always a deal breaker. There has been speculations surrounding the falling apart of Bonang Matheba and Somizi’s friendship. But do not despair anymore because Bonang through her book has shared her side of the story.

Apparently Somizi broke the BFF code by befriending Bonang’s ex boyfriend. After opening up to Somizi about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her boyfriend, he went on to become friends with him. In a chapter focused on her alleged assault at the hands of her then boyfriend Euphonik in 2012, Bonang said that the experience taught her who she could trust. “In the end, it was one of the reasons I stopped being friends with one of my closest friends, Somizi Mhlongo, although not immediately,” she wrote.

Although it took her a while to completely cut Somizi off, she eventually did. Somizi, though claims that he suspects their friendship ended because he told Zinhle about Bonang and AKA. According to Zomizi Bonang thinks he snitched on her by telling Zinhle she is stealing her man. Although they are no longer BFF’s they are civil and professional towards each other.
