Thandiswa Mazwai To Represent South Africa At TED Global 2017

Award winning singer Thandiswa Mazwai has been selected as one of the continent’s brightest thinkers and doers to help prepare for Africa’s future. Next month she and other 40 others with expertise ranging from technology and startups to business and the creative arts will be in Arusha, Tanzania sharing ideas on the continent’s future.

“I am so honored to have been chosen as one of the participants in TED global 2017 taking place in Arusha,” she shared the news with her followers on Twitter. Other 2 speakers from South Africa are, Tania Douglas of Medical Imaging and Sethembile Msezane who is a performance artists as well as an activist.

Africa’s burgeoning population faces an employment crisis, that we even feel here in South Africa, we hope these speakers will come up with ways to solve that challenge and others quickly and sustainability. The world should be listening attentively to those ready to come up with practical solutions, our collective future depends on it.
