This year’s list identifies young Africans, mostly below 30 years of age, who are doing remarkable work in their countries to facilitate development in the lives of people in their communities and throughout the continent.

6. Hulisani Ravele, South Africa
Hulisani Ravele is one of the most recognised personalities in South Africa. At the age of 28, her television career already spans 19 years. It all began in 1997 when 9-yr old Huli. In June of 2000, she joined the ranks of popular kids TV platform YoTV. In June 2014, she hosted a ground-breaking show for ANN7 – I Am South African which is a 60-minute, daily live talk-show (Monday to Saturday) for 2 and 1/2 months as a build up to the ANN7 Inaugural South African of the Year awards. Huli is also turning her focus to building her production company, Tshimbiluni Productions. Hulisani is now embarking on a journey to inspire, impact, and influence South Africans as she conceptualises her own talk show – The Hulisani Ravele Show – under her own production company, Tshimbiluni Productions.
7. Nijel Amos, Botswana
Nijel Carlos Amilfitano Amos is a Botswana middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres discipline. He won silver at the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was Botswana’s first ever Olympic medal.
8. Ellen Chilemba, Malawi
Ellen is a rising junior at Mount Holyoke College majoring in Economics and Studio Art. She was born and raised in Malawi. At 16, she received a scholarship to represent Malawi at the African Leadership Academy in South Africa where she graduated with a diploma in leadership, entrepreneurship and African studies. This inspired her to launch Tiwale, a community based organization which uplifts Malawian women through opportunities such as leadership workshops, micro-loans, vocational skills training and school grants.
9. John Armah, Ghana
John Armah is an Award-winning Entrepreneur and Consultant with a passion for Startups in Africa. Ranked as the 27th Most Influential Ghanaian by ETV Ghana (2012), Winner 2012 Ideas Award by Legacy and Legacy, Pioneer and Chairman of the Africa Youth Economic Forum,Model African Union Commission. Member-World Economic Forum-Global Shapers Accra Hub, Africa 2.0, Member of the Advisory Board of the Next Wave Africa Women Empowerment Program,Youngest Contributor to Ghana’s Budget, Former Radio Talk Show Host and a member of the African Community of Practice for Managing for Development Results and the Youth4Results network in Africa.
10. Lynette Magasa, Swaziland
Lynette Nontobeko Magasa is the founder and CEO of Boniswa Corporate Solutions (Pty) Ltd, which was established in 2004. Lynette is described as an entrepreneurial business woman who exudes passion for her business and industry, as well as integrity and humility.
