Stop Spending More Money Than You Earn
We have heard these words so many times, “your monthly debts should not be more than your income”. Don’t spend the money that you don’t have, if you can’t afford it don’t buy it. But still people find themselves in big debts and with the festive around the corner it can only get worse. People are more focused on having things that are not of importance or necessity over things that they need. Instead of buying your textbooks you’d rather buy an expensive bag that you don’t really need.
Deal with your money issues. Ask yourself questions why you always find yourself overspending. As some people do it so they can fit within their social life, something that they shouldn’t even do. So once you know what makes you spend more than you need to deal with those issues.
Go for what you need not want: You need a jean, but want a Levis jean. Invest your money in things that you need.
Shop wisely: When doing your shopping compare prices among stores. If bread is cheaper at the supermarket, why are you paying a rand more at the other store?
If you can’t afford now don’t buy it: if you get into the store and find something that you love, wait for the time you have the money for it.
Have a savings account: This way you will be able to save up for rainy days. Ensure that the account you have chosen gives the best interest rate because every little helps.
