Rea, was a promising entertainer and podcaster, and many felt he was the next big thing in the space. In the midst of being bold and entertaining, Rea publicly accused Bonang of using drugs, a statement that set him back. This happened in May 2021, where he stated that Bonang introduced the late AKA to drugs, during their dating days. Rea said this after AKA’s fiance’s Nelli passed away. There was a rumor going around, regarding her death, where people kept saying the death was related to substance abuse. Rea was bold enough to say that Bonang was the one who introduced AKA to those substances.

Bonang did not let this one slide, as her lawyers made contact with Rea asking him to retract his statement. He didn’t do so, and he was served with a letter, where he was told to apologize in all his social media platforms. Rea was also asked to pay Bonang R500k within 10 days. Rea was not moved by all this, and continued poking Bonang on his podcast.

Sadly for him reality happened, and he got sued. He did try to apologize and it was too little too late. Rea was ordered to pay Bonang R300k, a judgement that had social media talking. Even when news did the rounds that Rea had an Only Fans account, selling nude content, Bonang felt no messy for him.

Well, it seems like Rea has accepted his fate. In a recent podcast interview, he stated that he has no regrets over what he said about Bonang. Rea also added that there has been no consequences, and he hasn’t paid anything as yet.
