Dineo Ranaka Clarifies Her Point After Backlash Regarding the Nandi Madida Viral Video

Dineo Ranaka Clarifies Her Point After Backlash Regarding the Nandi Madida Viral Video. For a couple of days now, Nandi Madida has been trending on both the mainstream media and social media. This is after her appearance on L-Tido’s podcast, where she spoke about the social and economic challenges faced by black men.
Nandi said, “Our black men have gone through so much, and financially, it’s almost impossible to try [to] empower yourself. Even when you try, the system is against you.“
“People don’t have support from the government. Your 400 years of being oppressed, where is this money going to come from?”
The clip trended, with Nandi receiving praises mostly from men. Dineo Ranaka however, shose to differ with Nandi’s stance. She said that she was disturbed by what her industry peer said, how she said it and to whom she was saying it. Dineo said Nandi’s words will be understood and misconstrued by the very men she’s campaigning empathy for.
This did not sit well with many men, and just like that Dineo got trolled on social media. She was labelled as a bitter, toxic divorcee with three kids from different fathers. Dineo has not taken the criticism lying down, and she clarified what she really meant.
“I come baaaaaaaaaaaaack! 😅🤣 But no seriously I had to before things REALLY get out of hand. Take this as my press statement on the matter, for MEDIA INQUIRIES coming since my last post. Unfortunately I won’t be able to address you all individually,” Dineo said.
She the explained, “Before a “system” affects an individual, it impacts a people. My example stands.
Some of my fellow humans have already taken my previous expression of concern out of context. I mean I don’t judge them at all, matter of fact I understand. BUT I hope you don’t do the same with your pickings from this. I know that when you twist my words it best sells your publications or posts cause “draaaamaaaa” 🤡 but of respect for the seriousness of this topic, please don’t write this just to sell or get clicks. Please write this because it is truly a conversation worth having maturely and held with integrity. ESPECIALLY if you are a black journalist. I beg. ✨🤍“.
