LaConco On What Presenting Utatakho Means to Her. This past Monday, the first episode of Utatakho season 9 aired. The hit show follows emotional journeys as people raised with uncertainty about their biological fathers seek answers, closure and, in some cases, reconciliation.
For the first time since it landed on TV, Utatakho came with a new presenter, Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco. The award winning TV personality and reality show star took over the reigns from Nimrod Nkosi, who hosted the show since its first season. Although she has big shoes to fill, LaConco did amazingly well on her first show. She made the guests feel at ease, asked them the right questions and showed great empathy.
This is not the first time LaConco has hosted a show of this sort. Some of the shows she has hosted include Forever Thina, Ingan’Yam and Our Perfect Wedding. Still though, there is something that stands out for her when it comes to Utatakho. This is because the show is about rebuilding broken families,among other things. LaConco sees it as her calling from above, to carry such shows that change families.
“Utatakho is not just a show. It is purpose, truth, tears, and the rebuilding of families. Some truths heal, and some break, but all are necessary. God chose me to carry stories on tv that change families, and I do not take that lightly🧎,” LaConco said.
