Basetsana Kumalo Celebrates the Return of Top Billing Reminiscing About the Good Old Times. It’s not secret that one of the biggest shows to ever hit our screens is coming back. Top Billing is set to return back on air in March 2026.

Top Billing gave viewers a taste of soft life, taking them to the worlds fanciest vacation spots, showcasing celebrity extravagant events, their magnificent mansions, pricey assets, and what they get up to on a daily basis.

The show also gave us seasoned presenters, among them Bonang Matheba, Basetsana Kumalo, Maps Maponyane ,Jeannie D, Michael Mol, Ursula Chikane, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Lorna Maseko, Jo-Ann Strauss, Fezile Mkhize, the late Simba Mhere and many more. How cool is it that, we are about to see some of these personalities back on the show!

Even the hosts are over the moon, one of them being Basetsana, who started of as a presenter, to being an executive producer. Bassie is excited for the return of Top Billing, and has been doing media rounds to talk about their major comeback.

Today I’m filled with gratitude and much excitement, because the new era of Top Billing is dawning. March 2026 marks our return, a full-circle moment where legacy meets reinvention,” Basetsana said.

The former Miss South Africa and media mogul has also taken us down memory lane, on her Top Billing journey.

On the day we aired our last episode in October 2019, part of me thought I would never see the rebirth of this baby.

From my very first moment in front of the camera on this iconic lifestyle show, I knew I had embarked on a journey far greater than myself. As young woman gifted the chance to step into broadcasting and showing South Africa to the world, Top Billing wasn’t just a weekly appointment; it became a voice for elegance, possibility, and the belief that we could dream big even while grounded in our own soil.

I remember standing on that set many moons ago and feeling the thrill of telling stories about design, travel, weddings, and homes. We weren’t simply showcasing the good life, we were lighting a spark in someone watching at home, somewhere in suburbia or township, asking: “Could that be me one day?
” Bassie said.

She also touched on how they have nurtured talent, created platforms and shaped culture. Bassie pointed out that over the years Top Billing has weathered shifts in media, and changing audience habits. Their relaunch doesn’t just symbolize a show coming back to screens, but also symbolizes the power of belief, the reward of patience, and the necessity of staying true to your vision even when the world says otherwise.

To everyone who grew up watching us, to those just discovering us, and to the team who will breathe fresh life into this brand, let us keep dreaming together. Because, this is still a beautiful life,” she added.
