Nandi Madida began her journey in the industry 22 years ago, as a teenage girl. Now she is a wife and mother of two, still reigning supreme as a media personality.
The award winning musician, TV personality, actress and event host started her journey at the age of 15. Nandi was the host of the SABC2 pre-teen entertainment show called Bling, which mainly focused on music and movies. Ever since then, she has been a very popular face in the country and beyond our borders. Despite all her success, Nandi has remained humble, and is all about inspiring the younger generation.
Nandi has just posted a cool video, showing how far she has come. She also pointed out that, it wasn’t easy, and she was bullied. Nonetheless, she shut down the noice, and fetched her dreams.

I began my journey on a children’s TV show at just 15 years old
a young girl from Durban with big dreams.
Still in high school, but already certain that if I stayed the course,
those dreams would one day become reality.
At the time, I was often bullied for being on TV and for being a high achiever.
But none of that deterred me.
In fact, it prepared me for the real world.
I remember thinking:
“Unhappy people often try to make others unhappy.”
That truth helped me move through life with so much more grace.
