Itumeleng Bokaba Announces that Court Granted Her Protection Order. She made a name for herself as an actress. Itumeleng Bokaba starred in Rhythm City as Mampho in 2012. Before then though, she was already on TV, as a Yo.tv, and did a couple of commercials. Over the years, Itumeleng bagged roles on shows like The Wife, uBettina Wethu, and Spy Makhelwane.

A year ago, though, her personal issues took over what many know her for. The talented actress, TV personality and musician accused Nota Baloyi of rape. She then opened a rape case against the music exec at Douglasdale Police Station. Baloyi, however, denied the allegations and obtained a protection order against Bokaba, claiming their interaction was consensual and accusing her of harassment and extortion. He later turned himself in at the Randburg Police Station and was later released on R5 000 bail after appearing in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

The court postponed Baloyi’s rape case in January 2025, scheduling it for February 14, 2025, to allow for further consultation with Bokaba. On the scheduled court date, Bokaba made her public announcement about withdrawing the charges. She clarified that her decision was based on the need to dedicate herself fully to a new career opportunity. Bokaba also expressed her intention to revisit the case when she is in a better position to do so.

She is back with a new update. Bokaba shared that the court has granted her protection order, and issued a warrant of arrest. Although the warrant of arrest is suspended, it can be activated, should it be violated. Bokaba also seized the moment to thank those who stood by her, when she was going through the most.
