Social Media Reacts to News of Gogo Maweni’s Arrest. News of celebrity traditional healer and media personality, Makgotso Mofokeng, popularly known as Gogo Maweni are doing the rounds. Maweni is facing serious charges of alleged murder and assault.
A couple of weeks back, fellow traditional healer, Patricia Motsoeneng, known as Gogo Skhotheni, accused Gogo Maweni of involvement in two separate murder cases. During a live session on TikTok, Gogo Skhotheni detailed these accusations, claiming that one incident involved the death of Gogo Maweni’s best friend’s husband. She alleged that Gogo Maweni had orchestrated the murder by luring her friend, King Precious’s husband, outside under the pretense of receiving a gift, where he was subsequently shot and killed.
In response to these allegations, Gogo Skhotheni provided what she termed as “proof,” sharing case numbers and daring Gogo Maweni to take legal action if the claims were false. This public feud between the two sangomas has garnered significant attention, with both parties exchanging serious accusations. Although the two claim to have made peace, what took place on social media has now led to Maweni’s arrest.
As she is a public figure, word of her arrest, is making the rounds on social media. A lot of people, are quite happy about the arrest. Even well known social media influencers like Chris Excel, The Instigator and Aphelele Tyelbooi have also joined in those celebrating Maweni’s arrest.
