Pearl Thusi Gets Dragged For Failing to Honor Her Promise of Assisting A Mother With School Fees. Pearl Thusi is one of those celebrities who lands a helping hand where they can. In September 2025, she reached out to a mother whose kids were kicked out of school for failing to pay school fees.
The mother explained that she failed, after doing all she could to get her sons back at school. Nonetheless, she was hopeful that her situation was soon going to change. After her touching post, a number of people empathized with her. Some offered her help, whereas other gave suggestions of moving the kids to a public school.
Pearl also reached out, pledging to help the mom get her kids back to school. She also tagged her good friend and industry peer, DJ Zinhle to jump in. After he made the promise, a number of social media users applauded Pearl for her generosity.
Sadly, it seems like the media personality, actress, DJ and entrepreneur hasn’t lived up to her promise. The mom has shed some light on X (Twitter) revealing that he is yet to receive the financial assistance. The last time Pearl responded to her was on 19th September 2025, asking her if the money didn’t come in. Since then, she has been ghosted.
This update has not sat well with social media users, and they are back to dragging Pearl. They feel she should have just sat the issue out, instead of making empty promises. Some are even calling Pearl all sorts of ugly names, for what she did to the mother. Only a few people, among them Nota, are standing with Pearl, arguing that parents are the ones responsible for their kids’ education.
