SA YOUTH Responds to Serious Allegations Regarding Job Scams On Their Platform. The SAYouth.mobi network gives young unemployed South Africans access to learning and work opportunities. The network is part of the “Presidential Youth Employment Intervention.

Sadly, the SA Youth platform is trending on social media, with users saying some of their job opportunities are scams. This is more especially on Field Marketing job posts. Warning young people out there, one social media user shared that SA Youth keeps on inviting young job seekers to interviews and they end up missing. He added that, he personally knows of three and just came across another one.

In response to the trending news, the platform stated that they are deeply concerned by the allegations. SA Youth has thus assured their clients, that they verify all their partners on their platform, before uploading opportunities. Even though that’s the case, the platform, has taken further steps by suspending all partner profiles that offer Field Marketing roles, while investigations are still pending.

The priority of SA Youth is to get young people working. When it comes to your safety and security, we won’t compromise, and that is why we encourage you to report any suspicious activity to our toll-free contact number at 0800 727 272 or send a direct message for support at [email protected],” the organization said.

SAYouth.mobi is part of the “Presidential Youth Employment Intervention” and is supported by Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, the Department of Employment and Labour, the Department of Higher Education and Training, the National Youth Development Agency, Youth Employment Service (YES) and the Development Bank of South Africa.
