Candice Modiselle Bags Her 3rd International Animation Acting Gig. When the time is right, everything comes together. This is the case with Candice Modiselle, who has moved past gig drought to now being booked and busy.
About a year ago, the youngest of the Modiselle sisters, Candice opened up about not having any gigs. The award winning actress, media personality and entrepreneur openly acknowledged that she has not worked as an actress for six months since the start of 2023. However, she clarified that this should not be perceived as a reflection of her craft.
A couple of months later, it was gig after gig for Candice. In August 2023, she was unveiled as the SAFTAs Technical Craft Show host, alongside another talent, Smash Afrika. Candice was also part of the leading cast of the first African Disney Plus Anthology, Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire. This is an animated science fiction anthology that draws on the continent’s histories and cultures.
She is now back with another gig, her 3rd international animation film. Candice stars in Panda Bear in Africa, voicing Niala. The film has been two years in the making, and it will premier on August.
The storyline follows a young adventurous Panda who travels from China to Africa to rescue his best friend, Jielong the Dragon who has been kidnapped. On his journey he discovers a strange amazing new world of mountains, deserts and jungles.

Other local talents on the film include Sthandile Nkosi, Silas Lekgoathi, Namisa Mdlalose and Thulani Nzonzo
