“Something So Close to Home,” Ngelekanyo Ramulodi Gushes Over Bagging A Role In Queen Modjadji. Some of the cast of the most anticipated Queen Modjadji drama series have just been unveiled, bringing excitement to fans.
Among those are two former Miss South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida and Ndavi Nokeri. Shudu has been cast as Muthanoni Mulalo, one of the king/queen’s wives from the VhaVenda royal family. Ndavi plays the role of Muthanoni Khensani, another one of the king/queen’s wives, but from the VaTsonga royal family.
Another casting to look forward to is of talented actress, Ngelekanyo Ramulodi. The upcoming star plays the young Queen Modjadji, 14-year-old Maselegwani. This is great news for Ngelekanyo, as the story is close to home for her.

Ngelekanyo has been doing very well in recent years, bagging all the necessary roles. She is best known for her role as Gugu on Generations: The Legacy. A role she landed shortly after making her first TV debut as Monifa Filana in the popularly known BBC series, Noughts and Crosses.
In 2023, she landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as Leonard (Thapelo Mokoena) and Nandi’s (Kgomotso Christopher) daughter, Zinhle Mahlati, in the Netflix series Fatal Seduction. She next landed the starring role of Takalani in the Mzansi Magic fantasy drama series S’phiwo (Gift), which premiered on 8 January, 2024.
Amongst other work are her commercial roles for FNB, Albany, and Stayfree. During the lockdown period, Ngelekanyo performed workplace satire to help shed light on sexual harassment and ethical conduct in the workplace.
