10 Interesting Facts About Miss World South Africa 2023 Claude Mashego. wThe first-ever Miss World South Africa pageant took place on Saturday at the State Theatre in Pretoria. A new queen, Claudia Mashego was crowned over the weekend.

1. 23 year-old Claude Mashego is from Acornhoek, Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga.

2. The beauty queen graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.

3. Dr Mashego is now a practicing medical doctor, using her profession to help her community.

4. She became the 11th Queen to be crowned as Miss Mpumalanga in the year 2021. Dr Mashego did a lot during her reign, making her Provence proud.

5. In 2022, Dr Mashego got her first ever award through Health Excellence Organization. This was for the work she did in her community, especially during her reign as Miss Mpumalanga 2021.

6. This year she joined the first ever Miss South Africa World, a nationwide pageant which epitomizes the mantra ‘Beauty with a Purpose’.

7. During the competition, Mashego told organizers that she would use her reign to build a network of young leaders and community-builders in South Africa and across Africa through her non-profit organization, the Young Leaders Network.

8. She was definitely what they were looking for as she was crowned the queen in the 28th October 2023. Dr Claude Mashego will represent South Africa at the Miss World pageant in India next March.
