Zinhle Shares a Touching Message About Kairo Breaking Down Because She Misses Her Dad
When it comes to Kairo Forbes and her parents, the apple did not fall far from the tree. The little girl, is an artist in the making, and already has a substantial fan base.
Over the weekend, Kairo performed in front of thousands of people ate the Galaxy 947 Joburg Day. The event, organized by 947 and Samsung was all about celebrating South Africa’s biggest artists under the Spring sky and going back to good times with friends and family at Crocodile Creek. The likes of DJ Zinhle, DJ Maphorisa, Prince Kaybee, Mi Casa, Mafikizolo, KO and Shekhinah were in the lineup.
The coolest thing was that, although he passed away six months back, AKA was well represented. The AKA Mega Band was also in the lineup. The band together with AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai, Yanga Chief, Kuli Chana, DA L.E.S and Thato Saul celebrated Mega thorough song. Kairo got to perform some songs with the band, and it was just beautiful to witness.
DJ Zinhle, who also got the chance to share the stage with Kairo, shared a touching post of how her daughter was emotional at some point. She stated that Kairo tries to suppress her feelings most of the time, but on this particular evening, she let it all out. When it comes to grief, anything can trigger a person, and take them back to square one.
“After bravely performing her dad’s song in front of thousands of people, my 8 year old broke down crying saying she just misses her daddy & wishes he was here,…..I am so proud of her but I wish she didn’t need to be so brave. I just wish she still had her dad.” Zinhle said.
