Minnie Dlamini Celebrates 13 Years In the Industry. It is rare to be this long in the industry and still remain relevant. That can only happen if you are as talented as Minnie Dlamini.
The celebrated media personality, actress and entrepreneur has been in the entertainment industry for 13 years. Minnie burst into the scene as a presenter for LIVE on 16 June 2010, while studying at the University of Cape Town. She was covering the “Youth Day” and “World Cup celebrations” shows. She later co-hosted Mzansi Insider, an SABC1 lifestyle show. In 2012, she resigned from the show in order to pursue a career in acting.
In 2013, Minnie showed her versatility when she switched to sports broadcasting by co-hosting Soccerzone with Thomas Mlambo. This was up until in 2016 when the show’s format was changed by SABC 1. She has since co-hosted several local and international award ceremonies, including the 14th Metro FM Music Awards, 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, the PSL Awards and the South African Film and Television Awards.
Showing off massive growth, Minnie then formed her own production company called, Beautiful Day Productions. The company’s first TV production, reality series Becoming Mrs. Jones, was a record-breaking success, with the highest ever viewership for Vuzu Amp. They have also developed and produced a number of digital campaigns and content pieces for big brands.
