“I’m Having the Time of My Life Playing Mbali,” Nolwazi Ngubeni. Playing the role of a villain, is never an easy task. Nolwazi Ngubeni, who plays Mbali Kubeka knows that very well.

The SAFTA winning actress plays Mbali on Scandal! Lady M as she is affectionately called is married to Jojo Kubeka, (Melusi Mbele), and the two battled for some time to have a child. After suffering another miscarriage Mbali devised a plan to get Jojo drunk, and have her sister Winnie sleep with him. This led to Winnie falling pregnant, and Mbali faked her own pregnancy, until Winnie gave birth. She then took the baby pretending it was hers and Jojo.

Well Jojo eventually found out and all hell broke loose. He chased Mbali out, wanting nothing to do with her. Jojo decided to have Winnie in the house, since she is the biological mother of Nkazimulo. As expected this infuriated Mbali, who is doing every crazy thing to be together with Jojo, even almost killing Winnie.

Scandal! viewers are divided about this character. Some are excited that there is drama that keeps them on the edge of their seats. Others on the other hand hate the character, since it creeps them out. What about Nolwazi who plays the role?

She is having the time of her life playing Mbali. Nolwazi is also thankful that she has been trusted enough to play this role, and does everything in her capability to nail it.
