This is the kind of relationship between Thembi Seete and her dear mother. Sadly last year in July, Thembi lost her mother after a long battle with a brain tumor. It was such a difficult time for the talented musician and actress, who was nursing her mother. Thembi only opened up about her loss, one month after it happened, which shows that all this times she was in a bad space.
It is a year since her mom’s death, and to Thembi it feels like it happened just yesterday. As much as this is a painful memory, Thembi has decided to use this time to reflect on the beautiful moments she had with her mother while she was alive.
“Today marks exactly a year since my mum‘s passing. Time goes by quickly. It still feels like it happened yesterday.
Even though my most profound sadness of losing her, I’m grateful that I got to spend time with my mother. We stayed together from the beginning until the last day. I’m thankful for the prayers, the teachings, and the love,” Thembi said.
