The talented actress, reality TV star, media personality, musician and entrepreneur has joined The Wife for their Season II. Khanyi plays Zandile, the Zulu Queen who is Nkosana Zulu’s wife (played by Mondli Makhoba). She just made her first appearance and social media is going wild. Fans of the show are divided over her bagging the role, and they took to Twitter with different opinions.

Although many of Khanyi’s fans are happy that she is already slaying the role, there are those who feel the character should be played by a more talented actress. Although Khanyi started off her career as an actress, it looks like some people just associate her with being a media personality, slay queen and influencer. One disappointed tweep took to Twitter saying that it doesn’t make sense that Khanyi was given the role.

Instead of being messy with a fierce clap back, Khanyi was all cool. She advised the critic to try remove the person and find the character. She also urged the tweep to give Zandile a chance.

“Remove the person and find the character. Forget about the chef eat the food. Give Zandile a chance sis,” Khanyi said.
